I live in the Isle of Tiree, off the west coast of Scotland.
Born and brought up in Edinburgh, I moved back to the family home in 2013.
I love solving problems by trying to find digital solutions and often describe myself as a builder of digital things.
I founded and run Isle Develop CIC – a social enterprise building websites and running digital projects to the benefit of island communities.
Isle Develop CIC grew out of the isle20.com shopping site. isle20 was built to support island businesses who lost their tourist footfall in 2020. Then we launched a sister site, isleHoliday.com. It is a holiday accomodation booking platform for the islands. We recently took on two digital trainees and plan to take on commercial projects – growing a sustainable island business in the digital space.
I have a small tea label – Tiree Tea, and sell wool through The Angry Triangle.
I am currently Chair of Tiree Community Development Trust.
